Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 15, 2015 7:59 am In yet another drama we have been told we cannot rotate this bathtub due to the location of the plug hole. When I asked why, they said they couldn't create the required fall to the service void if the hole was down the other end. This basically means we have to have the bath the 'wrong' way. I can't even get a clear answer from then as to whether this also rules out a bath with a centred waste. If we want to rotate the bath their solution is to relocate the service void to the other side of the dining below which will look ridiculous. Have also been told we cannot have tiled floor wastes upstairs unless they raise the floor levels in the ensuite and bathroom to allow them to cut into the slab an extra 3mm. What is the room below ? I think the builder is merely trying to keep the size of the bulkhead to a minimum by wanting to put the void on the other side if you rotate the bath. I think you mean 30mm. Doing that and you will end up with a toe-kicker step up from your bedroom to the ensuite. Stewie Re: 'Fall' from bath to service void? 3Jul 15, 2015 9:59 am They didn't mention any bulkhead in the dining below as it stands/ I thought there would just be a square column in that corner. Will have to check that. Thanks as usual Stewie! Yes they possibly did say 30mm for the step up. I just didn't understand why I've seen tiles wastes in display homes without any step up into the wet areas. Obviously I'm no expert but didn't think there was anything specific to our plans that would have prohibited this M Y C U S T O M C O R A L B R O N T E 43 ...............Kitchen! 16 Nov 2016 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=79581 Not sure if that works?
