Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 11, 2015 9:07 pm Having looked at Stria in its discreet form, ie as a raised surface that isn't shiplapped, it nonetheless remains a single piece. By that I mean there is the cement sheet backing and in our case the 325 W raised surface is bonded to this backing - as here http://scyon.com.au/products/stria-cladding My builder has this stria in place but also has cement sheet backing with what looks like cut out cement sheeting placed on top. You can insert a screw driver tip or blade behind the raised cement board part and the backing. I do not believe the latter is stria but merely cement sheet and in this case he added (actually a thinner) cement board on top to look like stria. I can see in places nails in this pseudo-stria. Question is does Stria 325W come in 2 parts? Or is Stria a single unified and impenetrable piece of cement board? Versaloc is a mortarless besser block system that still needs a properly engineered footing. If you just do a 400x200 footing it will fail in time. At 17m long you need it… 1 3196 Yep, very good point. I’ll do more research and see what figures I get. Thank you! 8 2459 |
