Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 27, 2015 9:40 pm I'm currently building a three bathroom house (single storey) and I was a bit confused when my builder quoted me a Rinnai 26 rather than 32. I went on the Rinnai site, and it recommended the latter. Would it be wise to upgrade to the 32 for future-proofing, and would it cost much? The house will be for two people initially with more occupants later. Thanks Jason Re: Rinnai 26 or 32 for a 3 bathroom house? 2Jun 28, 2015 8:20 pm Rinnai 26 is OK for running 2 showers at a time but you do feel the pressure and temperature drop.I would be upgrading to a 32 for 3 bathrooms if you imagine all showers running at same time. Other alternative is to install 2 x 20 units which would also do the job. Also keep in mind location of units as the hot water does take some time to arrive, so the longer the run the longer it takes. Re: Rinnai 26 or 32 for a 3 bathroom house? 4Jul 01, 2015 10:14 pm Theres a massive price difference between them. The "builders" 26 RRP is around $900 whereas the infinity 32 goes for around $1800 from memory (bear in mind this is retail pricing and the builder will get a far better price) IMO the best option would be to have two 20lt units as you will probably have quite a long run to your fixtures and price wise your around the same mark. That last sentence is the key. How often will all 3 showers (or even 2 showers) be running at the same time ? Are the extra dollars worth it for an eventuality that may only occur on rare occasions ? Render your bathroom walls, two opinions versus the one, makes you wonder. 3 6046 Hi Geoff Install Puddle Flange prior to any screed.
