I am doing a knock down rebuild and the old house is brick veneer dates back to the 60s. However the roof is made of Colorbond instead of tiles. Is it true that asbestos is only found in the tiles roof and not Colorbond? Or am I being wishful here? ;-p

I'm not sure about the roof but we just had our house demo'd and the asbestos was in the eaves, meter box, bathrooms floor and walls and laundry and kitchen (usually under tiles etc) it can also be in concrete and outbuildings.

yes I would say so unless its been renovated, our house was 1970's - its all factored into your demo quote. Ours was $15k for a totally cleared block of trees and everything - not too bad really
