So my house is still A VERY long time away, but I am super curious to know what my house number will be.
If you haven't got your house number yet, what are you hoping for?
If you have got your house number, did you get what you wanted, like it, hate it?
I really want the number '2' as it's my favorite, but I would prefer an even number at least. I am the second house down on my street, but it will of course depend on which end they start from! I could just as easily be 3, or 445.
I would also like '4', but this seems unlikely and plus I heard it can be hard to resell.
Really don't want to be 11! I live in an 11 now, and have for all my life, need a change..
So, how about you?

You get whatever number is allocated for the block.
Generally number start from the north in a north south road, with even numbers on the east side, and odd numbers on the west side.
First house on the east side of that road will be 2, the next house 4.
This is a generalisation, and these things can vary.

We are number 10 - I didn't really care, just didn't want to be 13!! My husband was very happy with 10 as being a Collingwood supporter his first reaction was 'Pendles!!!!' - you can guess what our house is going to be nicknamed.....

Just waiting for someone to come up and say they got 666.
I'm surprised my 'wonderful' neighbours didn't apply for that number... it'd suit them !

Kind of off topic but if you're building on a corner block and your street name and number is not the way your house was built to face (due to retaining walls on that side) can you apply to change your street name and number or do you keep that number even tho we face a different street?
