Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 03, 2015 3:12 pm Hi everyone! I'm a newbie here, so please bear with my newbie questions. My husband and I had just bought a piece of land in one of the new estates in VIC. Title is scheduled to be released early next year. I'm just wondering what our next step or next few steps should be and when we should take each one. Do we set up an appointment with a builder sales consultant first or with a loan broker first? Do we need to get a conveyancer/solicitor as early as now? Would you recommend going for a house and land package? Any other relevant info/advice at this stage is very much welcome. Thanks in advance! Re: Questions from a newbie 2Jun 03, 2015 3:31 pm As you have already bought the land you can really only go for a house rather than a package. First things are 1 Be patient as title releases are frequently delayed. 2 Think carefully about your budget for the builder as it frequently costs much more than most newbies think.
