Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 02, 2015 9:05 pm Hi. Is 10mm Foam underlay too high for under a cut pile 9mm carpet?? Am worried will make carpet sit too high? Thanks Re: Carpet Underlay help!! 3Jun 03, 2015 12:41 pm Beazley77 We had that in our house and it's fine. If it's a Reno you might need to factor in trimming the doors a bit though. Thank you! Much appreciated No not a reno new build Re: Carpet Underlay help!! 5Jun 03, 2015 1:56 pm Joker Good underlay will make carpet last longer and feel better, ,cheapest way too improve carpet. Thanks yes this is a Dunlop ultimate 10mm foam underlay it's not cheap HOWEVER im not worried about the cost but worried more that it will sit high if the carpet itself is 9mm on top. Re: Carpet Underlay help!! 6Jun 03, 2015 1:58 pm I guess this is where the metal edging will help where the tiles meet the carpet so it looks the same level. Re: Carpet Underlay help!! 8Jun 05, 2015 9:14 am Joker We have new very similar carpet in our master bedroom next to ensuite with porcelain tiles and looks just fine, you wont notice. awesome thanks Hi l plan to install a self adhesive vinyl plank floor. l first need to attach masonite boards underlay to by plywood subfloor of my house. What size nails and how many… 0 8370 Jimbo73 I would use heaps of adhesive on each sheet and screw rather than nail. use as many as you like cheers Simeon 1 4070 1 11004 |
