Looking at our engineers report I think we may need to move ours in order to have the driveway how we want it. Re: Moving the water metre??? 3May 24, 2015 9:07 pm I have heard through family That has built its about $600 to have it moved, has happened to them twice and apparantly common for sa water to put it in an awkward spot unfortunately, Goodluck Re: Moving the water metre??? 4May 26, 2015 9:20 am Yeah it's ridiculously overpriced, I wanted ours moved by about half a meter and it was going to cost $1200 Re: Moving the water metre??? 5May 26, 2015 12:30 pm Can't see why not - but as said - it can be incorporated into the driveway. Re: Moving the water metre??? 7Jun 03, 2015 5:33 pm paid $250 to move it by 300mm. but we have two taps and two meters, i.e. one for regular water and one for recycle water. However if the developer is too slack to let them know they just have a standard distance in from boundaries they work to. Re: Moving the water metre??? 9Jun 05, 2015 9:31 am Good to know, though my developer haven't made any assurances it won't end up put in the wrong spot when I asked (even though they have told me where my driveway must go, that it isn't a certainty that the meter won't end up in an inconvenient spot)hence why my brother told me to be prepared to pay to have it relocated. Re: Moving the water metre??? 10Jun 05, 2015 1:50 pm Thanks for the replies. Think I would prefer it not incorporated into the driveway but depending what they are going to charge me may have to deal with it. Pretty sure it only needs to be moved slightly by a maximum of 30 cm I think but I am only going on what I see on the engineers report. Would we organise it ourselves through sa water or through our builder? Re: Moving the water metre??? 11Jun 07, 2015 11:27 am hachy Did you move your water metre? Was it expensive?
