Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 22, 2015 7:49 pm Hi all, Going to Install some old Cast Iron Lace / Frieze to Terrace house under the balcony see Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The cast iron is pretty heavy, so I'm wondering what kind of screws or bolts would I need to install the 6 pieces? Each piece has 3 or 4 bits to screw up into the wood in the balcony front but the hole is no bigger than 5mm so doubt I could use bolts. As you can tell I'm pretty new to DIY so appreciate any help! The hard thing is finding timber screws with flat button heads and not Bugle or countersunk heads. As thought a flat surface against the metal would be better. Or does that not matter too much?
