Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 20, 2015 11:46 am Hi all, My house design require privacy screens to be put around the second storey windows which overlook neighboring properties. Our second storey cladding is rendered polystyrene foam. The rendering and interior is pretty much done and I'm just wondering how would they fix the privacy screens to the foam cladding and if the foam would be strong enough to hold it. It's not like they can easily find studs behind the foam now that everything is finished.... I read something about "styrowedge" which is used to fix downpipes but not sure if that will have enough capacity to hold privacy screens which I think is made from Aluminium. I'm getting quotes for the privacy screens now but am curious as to how it would be done physically. Thanks, Buildnewbie Re: Attaching privacy screens to foam cladding 2May 20, 2015 8:13 pm You cannot attach the screens directly to the foam. Another method would need to be found.
