Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Mar 26, 2015 6:25 pm Wondering if anyone has had issues with Stratco's installers. Would love to know how you got around things. We had a fence installed 8 months ago and within a month it was leaning and separating at the panel joints. After the installer incorrectly blamed the problem on our builder (we have a new home) I contacted Stratco who organised for the installer to come out and temporarily reinforce the fence with posts (supporting the fence at 45 deg angles). It's an unsightly look but stops the fence from falling on the neighbour's kids. Now, after following up with the installer several times this week, he advises that he can't do the job tomorrow as promised - it's going to be another two weeks. I guess now what cheeses me off the most is he's not concerned about his quality & service and the inconvenience he's caused. In fact he said he "doesn't care about customers at all" he has plenty of work and is happy for me to take him to fair trading again. And let me tell you that's a lot of pain for little or no gain. What gives with these guys. When I quizzed his attitude he said 'welcome to trades". How come they can get away with things like this? So now I'm fuming and frustrated by the way the yard looks and by the installer's treatment. He just doesn't give a toss. It could take many more months before the fence is fixed. What can I do? Re: Stratco Accredited Installers - Fence 2Mar 26, 2015 11:21 pm There are only a few good trades out there .we used to run our own business and it was all word of mouth . Its amazing how some run there business including some of these builders .I would go back to straco and tell them you wont to speck to a manager and explain to them what has happened and mention to them these are the type of people who the recommend to put there fences up . Its a joke . Re: Stratco Accredited Installers - Fence 3Mar 28, 2015 11:48 pm Would like to know what state you're in. As far as I know, Stratco don't install directly-they manufacture the product and recommend installers. If Stratco found out this cowboy is butchering their brand, I would think their leads to him would dry up quick. As Melsie said, I'd go back to Stratco with all your facts. Perhaps pursuing it through the local building authority is an option. It's disgusting how these crooks take advantage of customers!
