There seems to be a lot of ants inside the house and I really want to get rid of them. They are walking in and out through gaps via outdoor powerpoints and corner of windows. It's annoying everytime I come out to check the house. Thanks SH Re: Building house with ants around and inside of house. 2Mar 15, 2015 4:44 pm A spray like that probably won't achieve a great deal. You are better off determining if they are sugar or protein-liking ants and using an appropriate good poison that will hopefully be taken back to the best, rather than a surface spray deterrent. Put some ant rid liquid down and some peanut butter and see what they swarm over the most. If it is the ant rid (sugar loving ants) then either persist with the ant rid or get optiguard on eBay (needs to be put down along their tracks at dusk for a few days). If they like the peanut butter then get some Amdro from Bunnings (pricey but great for protein loving ants) and sprinkle that everywhere. Better yet, see if your department of agriculture will identify your ants for you and tell you what to use. Grab a hose, insert it at the top of the inlet/down pipe and turn the water on and see where the water is escaping from. Then you'll know. 3 8390 Thanks again Simeon for being so elaborate.
