Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 12, 2015 10:22 pm I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to purchase the property next door to the one I live in. This is an ideal situation for me as it provides the opportunity to realign the boundary to give me more land for extensions/renovations whilst redeveloping the property next door. The council duty planner has informed me that my proposed submission would comply with the council minimum frontage and land size and would be received for consideration - good start! My question is this: as I am not subdividing, and none of the services to the property next door will be affected by just a simply boundary realignment, what would I be expecting to pay to have this done? I have no issue paying qualified surveyors etc, my issue is the ridiculous council and government fees for such a simple exercise given there is absolutely no impact on services to the property etc. Thanks. This lets them load you up with fees. In Qld, the cheapest it would come to is surveyor redraw one boundary $400 Plan lodgement at state titles office $500 Council - various application fees $1000 - $2000 You are going to find out what a bunch of leeches your local govt is. You will pay them a whole lot of money..... for nothing. Enjoy! I urge you to shop around for the surveyor, as their prices very enormously. thanks Chippy, i hope they have applied sealer but i am doubt to be honest, so i am gonna do this job after handover. 8 11928 You should be able to encase the sewer but you will need it designed and approved and access to lot 580 to do the work 2 12674 In WA zero lot is actually zero lot. We build 10mm in from the boundary. My house and my neighbours house have garages that sit only 20mm apart. When I had our roof done… 3 5516 |
