Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 28, 2015 2:29 pm Hi guys, I just need some advice here relating to a job.. About 2 weeks ago I paid a fencing company a deposit, $650, to start a fencing job for me. Today I was told that the company went into voluntary administration, which is being handled by an independent company. After speaking to them, they said it could take a month before things get “wound up”. What options do I have here? Should I wait a month before I find out whats happening? i.e. if I will get my money back or the job will still go ahead. Not sure what to do? Cheers, Robbie Re: Fencing companing goes into Administration, what now? 2Jan 28, 2015 2:31 pm Speak to the administrator. If it is wound up then you *may* get at least $1 back. If the business is purchased then the new owner may continue the work.... If the business manages to dig itself out of the hole then they will proceed to do your job(probably lengthy delays) or refund you if they cant. It wasnt a big job, but its still $650. As the job is quite urgent (keep my dog from jumping over/through current fence), im tempted to get someone else to do it... but if i do i could loose the $650 if i "break the contract". MMmm what to do? Re: Fencing companing goes into Administration, what now? 4Jan 28, 2015 2:44 pm I dont like your chances... In this case your patience would be tested and you have to either choose $$$ or dog... Might as well learn from my mistake, move on and get the job done. Might be be an opportunity to do the job myself. I use Tramex moisture meter and it will tell me instantly if the wall is cement sheet or plaster or masonite but most people dont have the equipment. 5 7086 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11835 8 6138 |
