Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 17, 2015 9:18 am Hello Please could someone give us some painting advice? Our house is about 20 years old. The ceilings look as if they only ever had one or two coats of undercoat not sure really. Anyway when we painted the kids bedrooms we cleaned the ceilings, then gave them two coats of undercoat. One of the rooms was fine the other did bubble - 1/2 a dozen or more together the size of 50c peices. We scraped this off and put on a little filler and then repainted. When we did the final coat of ceiling paint both rooms bubbled, in different places than before but about the same size. One we left and the bubbles went down and it looks OK now but, on the other room the others popped and are showing bare board. I am not sure how to finish the job properly and also how to prevent this from happening in future rooms. In the third bedroom the ceiling is already flaking in places before we start Thanks in advance for any advice.
