A different builder had told me it can go hard up. Its about 14.5mtrs long with steel posts. I live in Qld. Any help would be much appreciated as im struggling to find info on Google. It depends where you are in Qld, but if in Brisbane google search for "building setback brisbane" and there is plenty of information. That specifies, for single storey buildings, a front setback of 6m and a rear/side setback of 1.5m. If you want to go closer than that, you need to apply to your local council for a boundary relaxation also known as siting variation. Some Councils will consider it providing you have a strong argument, others wont.
