Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 01, 2015 3:37 pm Hey Guys, Just completed the site cut and we have discovered the ag drain/stormwater drain will run under a section of the footing for a masonry retaining wall. The footing is 550mm deep and 500 wide as per engineering specs and there are piers to 1500mm deep every 1300m. The wall is approx 8m long and shaped like a L. Everything is tied in with reo bar. The drains will be about 50mm under the footing, it is all undisturbed ground. Anyone see any dramas in doing this? Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. George Carlin Re: Retaning wall footing on top of stormwater/ag drain 2Jan 01, 2015 4:31 pm As long as the aggie drain is backfilled with well compacted material under the footings it should be OK. I would probably go with stabilised sand. That is sand with 5% cement. The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! George Carlin Grab a hose, insert it at the top of the inlet/down pipe and turn the water on and see where the water is escaping from. Then you'll know. 3 8465 in the stormwater pit or the drain? Those dont look like theyd fit in the drain. Separately, the pits do get stuff in them during the course of the build. For the most… 1 7932 there is a standard besser block wall pdf somewhere online with footing sizes, also have a look at dincel. 1 2903 |
