Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 10, 2014 10:21 am Hi, I had a general question regarding my slab that has already been laid. My build came with Termite treatment as follows: Termite control: Biflex spray to AS3660/1 - BD pretreat Services Treatment Type: Homeguard or similar. Does that mean I should be expecting the blue color paint on the sides of the slab? Because my slab does not have a blue paint it. Also how do I find out if they put the Homeguard on? On an other note is borer treatment different to this? Best Regards Re: Termite treatment/homeguard - is that the blue paint on 2Dec 10, 2014 11:49 pm No, what you have described is just a spray treatment. Homeguard does have a physical blue barrier too but that is not specified in your case. The edge of your slab should be purged with a damproof cement though but this is not part of the termite treatment. As for borer your addenda on your contract should outline if this treats borer too. In addition if your are in a borer area your roof timber will be h1 treated. In your meter box the termite company will generally put a sticker outlining what they have done and at handover you will normally be given a termite certificate. Most companies will do a follow up after 12 months to drum up repeat business.
