I know just how excited you are, Bel.
We were quietly searching & waiting for just the right spot. FOR 6 LONG YEARS To get a place in this area, you pretty much had to wait for someone to croak. As it happened, the vendor moved into a nursing home. When I 1st drove past the house - I had this funny connection. OK so it sounds strange But really, I just knew that we would get it. We missed out on so many before, that we thought that it would never happen. Well, I was right. Even my husband, while waiting for the auction to start, said that he felt so relaxed about it & he hates bidding at auctions. He said that it was our time. Well, the rest is history. The right area & just the right spot. YAY !!! Your excitement & success has reminded me Bel, just how fantastic the feeling is. CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!! do you have a link to the property? (on a real estate website) After 4 years - we're in! Re: Auction Tomorrow!! 34Jun 15, 2008 3:27 pm Thanks so much for the congratulations guys!!
We are soo thrilled! We got it $40k less than what we were planning on spending so a HUGE savings!! The land is 15.24m x 36.58m approx, once the house is on it should leave us approx 5m setback from front garden, 9m to back fence, 1m from the garage side to the boundary and 2m on the other boundary side so a nice fit. The street has just had a brand new road put in, and there are lots of new modern houses going up in the street so ours should fit in nicely. I have to call our s/c from PD tomorrow to sign up with them and our build is scheduled to begin in October!! I am thrilled and can't thank everyone on Homeone enough for all your support!! Paula - Mark played really well, he only found out about the winning auction just prior to the game starting so he was running around like crazy at the start My karma ran over your dogma Re: Auction Tomorrow!! 35Jun 15, 2008 3:33 pm haywgl WE GOT IT!!!!! The best thing is you already have your house picked out! $40k under budget is excellent - although if you're like me everytime I save money somewhere - I upgrade somewhere else!! Jo Re: Auction Tomorrow!! 37Jun 15, 2008 8:55 pm haywgl The land is 15.24m x 36.58m approx Approx? that's pretty specific! Great size nearly the same as ours only i expect you'll have a bigger backyard having a 2 storey and all - smaller footprint. Let me know if you need the name of a good demolisher in the west.
