Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 03, 2014 6:04 pm Hi guys. I have a balcony that doesn't have a roof over it. Now the problem is when it rains the water leaks through the deck and onto my front door entrance. I don't want to spend thousands of dollars trying to fix it. I'd say 1500 is my limit as its an investment property. I can do the labour myself but after some ideas. My current idea is to use fibrocement sheets and Create a drain at one end with a downpipe into the garden below. Any advice would be appreciated Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Leaking balcony. What to do? 2Dec 04, 2014 4:38 am You will need to remove the decking boards and see what the sub structure is below this , there should be a existing drain this maybe blocked, if this is not the case you will have do a you said so you will need to create a fall to your out let this is normally done with a screed and water proofed. If your existing decking boards have just be laid on concrete I would clean this water proof the concrete ,screed and then water proof the screed, you will need to seal all the perimeter with a product like sika pro or FC11 to give a flexible joint to the brickwork. hope this helps Re: Leaking balcony.
