Hi all,
I am in the process of removing a load bearing outside wall from a shed. Seems straight forward right ? no
The roof height is 2.1mtrs and the new doors that I wish to install a 2.1mtrs so you can see the challenge.
1. The complete wall including the top plate till have to be removed.
2. The wall is 7.5 mtrs long and the door is 3mtrs wide, and will be positioned in the middle of the wall.
So taking all this into account the rafters and the joists will have to be supported from above it is a hip roof with tiles.
There is no room for a bulkhead as the roof joists are at roof height.
my first thought was to run a hanging beam to hold the roof joists up and also support the rafters commonly seen when somone takes out the midlle main wal in an old building.. the purlins are supported plus the joists are tied back up.
Thanks for all your time,
Chris
