Our house is built on a sandstone base and I have had a look around in the subfloor space and can’t find any visible water. I have also checked the roof cavity with similar results. There does not appear to be water in the hallway (the carpet is not wet and the neither are the wallpaper clad walls). I am just wondering how I should go about resolving this? Should I get the a builder out to see if they can find the source – whilst there is not a problem now it suggests to me that there is a problem somewhere.
