Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 18, 2014 12:34 pm Can anyone assist me, we are looking at doing a knock down and rebuild (with project builder) but we have an inground salt water pool. This sounds silly i know but what do we do for the time we are building, how do we maintain the pool? We can't drain it as the sides will dry and crack, but there won't be power or water to property to clean etc. Anyone else dealt with this issue? Re: Swimming pool maintenance during knock down rebuild????? 2Nov 18, 2014 3:41 pm Throw lots of chlorine in it. Is the builder going to have a builders pole with temporary power ? If so just run a lead to your pool and let the filter do its job every now and again. The hardest part will be keeping knucklehead tradies from throwing crap into it and blocking the skimmer box which could cause the pump to burn out. When the time came to refill it there were no cracks but when we decided to sell in 2010 there were and we spent 2k on a patch up and it's still OK.
