Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 10, 2014 1:52 pm Hi all I signed a contract in mid June for a Sydney company to build me a colorbond garage with lean to including slab and a new driveway.Council permission came through mid September and builder said construction certificate came through this week. They now tell me they are booked up till Xmas and will not do concrete till next year and after concrete cures install garage. They will probably go on holidays in January so it probably will not be finished until February or March i have paid 10% deposit on 30k total price plus $1000 council bond. My question is this amount of time normal for building and if not what can i do to hurry them up as fine print in contract states no time frame and to be completed in a reasonable time whatever that means. Thanks. Re: Is 8 Months to build a garage and driveway reasonable ? 2Oct 11, 2014 9:07 am Should have specified the time in the contract. Its a a couple of days job for a crew.
