Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Sep 25, 2014 8:31 pm Just getting ready to stain my front doors, and noticed that there's some sticky tape residue on the timber frames, and was wondering what is the best way to get rid of this residue before I go to stain the timber. Sanding just clogs up the sand grit. Was sort of thinking using petrol or shellite to get rid of it, but I'm concerned it might push it in to the grain instead. Thanks for your ideas.
