Hi, we sold our house earlier in the year. I now see it is up for rent and the agents are using my professional photos. I paid to have these taken and I have not given permission for them to be used.
Surely this can't be right?

Re: Photos 4Sep 14, 2014 7:27 pm I reckon that if you look at your agency agreement for when the property was sold by you and the pics were used, you'll find there's a clause in there somewhere about any pics used during the marketing of the property by the agent, that they hold rights to those, and are free to use them again if they so wish. Same with the photographer. I temped at a Real Estate agency while I was at Uni years ago and they used to recycle professional pics from sales onto rental listings if the purchaser was using the home as an investment property and went through them as a rental agent. But does it really matter? They had to get done, they sold your property, served their purpose. Why take new ones and have the new owner get slogged dollars when it's not necessary. If you are referring to having paid the REA to have the photos taken, then they are not your photos unless you have an agreement that states that the photos ownership was to become yours upon payment. 3in1 Supadiverta.
