I waited a few weeks after giving the go ahead and my builder said the engineer would be finished end of July. Another month has passed and still nothing. Builder says they contacted the engineer and to expect the drawings soon but still nothing after numerous follow ups.... Is this normal? It also depends on how busy they are, how big an engineering practice they are and funnily enough the time of year. From now until the end of the year is always the busiest time for the building industry. Ask the builder for the engineers number and follow them up.
