Well I ended up going to demo company & explained to them that there will be a delay with building, therefore demo is on hold as well. Demo permit was granted on 30th April 2014 (27 days) after I signed with them. They told me the demo permit is valid for 2 years but the council asset protection permit is only valid for 12 months, which I can easily ring up council before 12months expires & pay the fee again! Let's hope we'll be starting our build in the next 3 months! Anyway happy to share any info I have! Looking to start the journey of becoming an owner builder in SA.
