Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 26, 2014 3:35 pm Hi all Neighbours have already publicly notified by mail via council regarding our plans to knock down and rebuild. I just received council approval to demolish our house (the current side and rear fences will stay). I queried council if they have a regulation on how much notice I have to give my neighbours regarding demolition and they said to speak to the builders and I have emailed them. I will be speaking to the neighbours advising them of the demolition and I was thinking 1 week notice mainly - to shift their cars a bit further down as the street is faily narrow, demolition dush etc. Cheers boosta (SA) http://boostaoakfordsa.wordpress.com Site works: 26/8/14 Trench: 2/9/14 Slab: 8/9/14 Frame: 18/9/14 Bricks: 24/10/14 2nd fix: 24/11/14 Handover: End Feb 2015 Re: How much notice to give to neighbours re: demolition 2Jun 26, 2014 5:51 pm Give them as much notice as you can, and then remind them regulary as it comes closer to the demolition. Suggest that there might be dust in the air, and that there will be trucks and the like during the actual demolition, that way they get the hint that in a narrow street they might get some inadvertent harm done to their cars. Above all be polite, and and helpful to your neighbours, it will win you 'brownie points' down the track. Owner Building at Jimboomba Woods in Logan City Qld.
