Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 21, 2014 10:35 pm Hi all. Wasn't sure where to post this but when we were choosing our colours at the builders showroom, the colour we chose was "Spirit Grey" and it was on the Wattyl wall. When I go to find the colour, it's actually a Solver colour. So my question is, is there a quality difference between Wattyl and Solver? Is it the same company but different Quality product? I always thought solver was a cheap industrial paint that painters used. Thanks in advance Re: Wattyl and Solver paint 2Jun 21, 2014 11:26 pm As we found out, do not use the solver Velvetsheen. it is not washable as claimed and when washed shows all the wash marks. We are going to do a repaint after 18 months with maxiwash as a result. The solver maxiwash is good. Had it in the last place and it lasted very well.
