I'm looking at Optus with fetch tv as I'm over foxtells rip off prices and the fact their on demand feature isnt working properly. Optus offer fetch tv with their broadband and although their customer service tells me broadband is available at my address I know it's not so is fibre optic and Nbn the same thing ?there's so many different internet deals out there now Nbn , fibre, adsl2 etc I'm confused as to which one we actually get in estate is anyone using a different internet pay tv package in the aurora estate them foxtel Its frustrating when I hear friends getting connected to Nbn and they have a range of service providers and as far as I know we still only have primus and iinet who can charge us what they like no competition Re: Nbn fibre broadband and pay tv ..help! 2Jun 05, 2014 3:15 pm Probably the easiest way to think of it NBN - Fibre (The new network being rolled out in various formats) ADSL\ADSL 2+ - Copper cable Optus\Testra Cable - Hybrid of optical fiber and coaxial cable If you can get NBN I would suggest getting it because of this which can be found on the NBNco website However, in the areas where NBN fibre is being installed, it will replace almost all phone lines, ADSL internet, Telstra/Optus cable internet, and some Telstra Velocity fibre services, providing a new fibre optic network for residents to use.So, when the switch-off of the above lines is announced in your area, you need to switch over to the NBN if you want to keep a landline phone or internet service, or make alternative arrangements for your phone and internet. NBN Providers will depend on which state you are in. DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair All my inside walls are Fibre Cement & House has Steel frames...
