Browse Forums General Discussion Re: anyone know where to get a NICE large desk from? 3May 27, 2008 9:34 pm Up until recently I had a desk from the Criterion Rap range (not a funky new band)
http://www.criterionfurniture.com/categ ... ountry=AUS I no longer needed so my brother is using it in his new study. The desk was more like furniture but still very practical. It is flat pack but extremely good quality (the desk top was an inch thick). It’s a large-ish corner one in dark wood-like material. It hasn’t got any shelves above or around the PC monitor area though, if that’s what you’re looking for.
I’d go to furniture shops like Harvey Norman. Depending on your budget, I found some really lovely desks there when we were looking. If we’d had the money, we would’ve bought one of the solid, sturdy-looking proper library type desks with the green top and dark wood, and with matching bookshelves all around. Gorgeous! How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: anyone know where to get a NICE large desk from? 10May 30, 2008 10:56 pm Hi Bec,
I got my 1800 x 900 office desk from Swanzone Furniture in Canning Vale; it is imported flat-pack stuff but the sizes are excellent and it looks much better then the stuff H-Norman had at the time (and half the price!). It cost $800 with draws and return - very solid. Good Luck!
