Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 25, 2014 10:38 pm Hi I have got ground sloping down towards my house at the front. On highly reactive soil. You all probably know what absolute disasters water can cause when houses are built on reactive clay if it gets under the concrete slab. Entire house are lost this way. I figured the only way to prevent any water ponding near foundation footings is to install AG pipe drains in the ground near the walls. My question is though – are there any rules\regulations in place in terms of how far from the house you are allowed(or should) to install them? I will only have to dig a trench of maybe 30 cm deep but it is still some excavation going on near slab footings so I thought maybe there are some rules? Also, there is the chemical termite barrier all around the house perimeter so I was wondering how much is that allowed to be disturbed? I guess there should be a lot of people who installed AG pipes before, may I ask you for your advice please? Thanks Re: AG Pipe installation 2May 26, 2014 6:55 am tkormich Hi I have got ground sloping down towards my house at the front. On highly reactive soil.
