Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Apr 06, 2014 1:25 pm Hi all, My family and I have decided to build a new home, however we are struggling to come to a conclusion in regards to the facade! I love this facade, in my eyes it's; practical, classic, timeless, attractive, balanced and isn't "too modern". If you have any positive or constructive feedback, please feel free to share! I am currently waiting on an artist impression to also assist us in deciding. Please see the attached front elevation. (The colour scheme is either going to be Red brick or a Blue black brick with frameless glass balustrade over the balconies and white windows/doors/fascia and etc.) http://imageshack.com/a/img541/2352/tuyo.png Re: Double Storey Facade?!? HELP!! 2Apr 06, 2014 8:26 pm Take some cues from what is around the area you will be building. Personally, I think that facade is a bit dull, especially if you are going to have dark face brick. No doubt, plenty of people won't like the facade I've chosen either. In fact, I don't think my facade is perfect -but I plan on a doing a lot of work to the front yard with strategically planted trees, so I think the end look is going to be beautiful. My only suggestion is to go for a drive around areas with new homes and look at lots of photos of new homes (including on here). Collect pictures of anything you like - see what works. Good luck. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Double Storey Facade?!? HELP!! 3Apr 06, 2014 8:38 pm You could try livening it up with some feature stone or tile on the portico, although it might be hard to find something that will tie in with red brick. 1 4581 Hi Kristy Around $1.7-1.8m or around $4,600/sqm. if you PM me your email I will send you a break up in a spreadsheet so you can get an understanding of the costs for… 1 9947 Thank you @.
