We have had a lot of issues with the builder and would like to take a Building Inspector and also an Engineer (I believe we need a structural engineer) with us to the final inspection. Until date we have relied on hubby's trade knowledge (however he builds commercial), on many occassions the builder has insisted that hubby is being overly picky when pointing out that something doesn't meet HIA standards - but usually changing things afterwards anyway. If anyone could recommend people who would travel to this area to inspect a 2 storey residential property, it would be much appreciated.
