Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 16, 2014 10:05 pm Hi All, I just New in this forum. I just bought my first home (Victoria) and live in there for around two weeks. The home built by Porter Davis in March 2009 and i like the house very much. However, during the cleanup at night, i noticed there are some noticeable lumps on the ceiling and few ceiling joint that is also noticeable. there are also hairline cracked on the ceiling (picture attached). Any Advise in here where should i go to check whether this will become a major problem/ structural problem? I just want to know how bad this will be and if i can do some preventative actions, i will do it. I just afraid, someday, the ceiling will collapse like my friend's house (note:i did not know who's the builder of my friend's house). Before the settlement day in January 2014, i hired Building inspector and the report was okay, he did not mentioned anything about the ceiling, but i believe it did not noticeable during daytime. Also there are two hairline cracks on the brickwork at back of patio and a horizontal hair-lined crack on the wall at bottom corner of a window in one bedroom. The inspector mentioned to me that this can be settlement movement. I believe i still have 1 months left for 5 year building warranty. Should i Contact Porter Davis support regarding this? and Anyone know the contact number regarding building warranty with Porter Davis? I thank you very much for the help as i am just a new home owner and this is very new to me. regards, Fransiscus Herry Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Hi there, I just recently received my new house from my builder.
