Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 16, 2014 10:45 am Looking for some ideas.... on this dull topic We are designing a new kitchen and unsure what bin solutions work well. Would like something that has a bin "lid shut" if the drawer is closed. Ideally "lid opened" when drawer is open too. Thinking about standing the bins on a floor level drawer (e.g. Blum drawer). Mostly rubbish and maybe also a recycling bin. How wide cabinet is good to allow - 450, 500? Interested in what works for you guys. Cheers. It doesn't have a lid but will be in its own cupboard. http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x400/smallnads/Royal%20Manor/photo_zps2f9aac17.jpg http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/x400/smallnads/Royal%20Manor/photo_zpsb2e22e8a.jpg Custom downslope build Build thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=61873 Blog http://www.buildingroyalmanor.blogspot.com.au Re: Rubbish bin solution suggestion for a kitchen cabinet? 3Feb 16, 2014 1:58 pm We're keen for a bin in our pantry but the wife isn't keen on the smell so watching this with interest. ______________________ CELERBRATION HOMES The Lennox Re: Rubbish bin solution suggestion for a kitchen cabinet? 4Feb 17, 2014 5:17 am Who makes that bin homeangels? That is what I am looking for. Can you fit a normal shopping bag in them? I would too prefer a lid that opens when you open the cupboard but I think this is a pretty good option. Not sure if it fits a normal shopping bag as we haven't moved in yet What's with the markup of these things in Australia. The 35L pull-out recycler is $80 on the simplehuman website and $69.99 on Amazon. Fishpond have it at around $169. This bin is the perfect for my needs, but can't justify that price tag. simplehuman do make some good products though. Anyone know where I can purchase at reasonable price? Re: Rubbish bin solution suggestion for a kitchen cabinet? 7Feb 27, 2014 8:06 pm have my bins on a Blum drawer, 400mm wide. Put in an IKEA bin and a Bunnings type of container which normaly goes in the car. Ours don't have lids but I think IKEA got bins with a lid. We don't need huge ones, only two of us. Those where the lid opens when you pull out the drawer are more expensive, eg from Häfele or Hettich. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed.
