Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 13, 2014 8:49 pm Hello All, below is what we are hoping to build very soon if everything falls into place!,so I would like some help/opinions on colour choices and to tell you what I have in mind aswell it is a 2 story weatherboard home, this is what me and the missus have come up with so far * Weatherboard paint colour-Colourbond shale grey * Rollerdoors, gutters and barges- colourbond surfmist * Window frames-white * Verandah poles etc -Wattyl white * Roof colour-Not sure, was thinking surfmist, maybe darker would be better? so what do you all think, any suggestions and is anyone savvy enough to put this colour scheme on the drawing I provided so we can see what it will look like before its built? http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k348/steve_arthur1/ddb718be-d215-4b19-b454-d3ec547af04e_zps29080904.jpg http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k348 ... 080904.jpg cheers! steve Re: Help with exterior colors please! 4Feb 16, 2014 7:10 pm Hi Stevo, Please see your drawing coloured in your colours. There are two versions - one with the roof lines and one without. This is because this type of drawing will make the colours seem a lot darker than they will be in real life. Also, as a general rule, colours such as this look a lot lighter on real life in large areas and in the sunlight. Sometimes surf mist looks almost white on garage doors or roofs. This may or may not be what you are after. I hope this helps. Cheers, Jenny. Someone put us onto this visualizer website.... http://www.jhstephenson.com/steel-roofi ... lours.html It helped us enormously. There are other visualisers too. Search google images for surf mist too. It is a very light colour but can work nicely on some houses. If it's too light for you, pick a slightly darker colour for roof, gutters and down pipes. Then use surf most as the garage door. You don't want to stuff up the roof colour, so check out as many pics as you can online, and even put surfmist the search engine on this forum. That way you can see other people's colour schemes with that colour. Good luck! Re: Help with exterior colors please! 9Mar 16, 2014 10:40 pm Hi Steevo, Im Issy and Im new to this. Have you used this website to help you pick out colours with the house? http://colorbond.autech.com.au/onlinevisualiser/ This is what im currently using, and IM STILL STUCK WITH COLOURS! lols. If you could follow my post and help me with colours too, that would be great I think you should go with maybe windspray or shale grey for colourbond roof Serach: Haynes, New Generation Homes - HELP on exterior colours or Post: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70133&hilit=haynes%5C Building: The Maxum Builder: New Generation Homes Estate: Springtime Estate, Xavier ____________________________ Our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73924 2 2253 Hi, Currently building, we are on a sloping block so we have from floor level to the roof in axon cladding.
