Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 31, 2014 9:39 am Hi we are building with Eden Brea Manchester 18 its a home and land package. Home to be built by November. i have a question about the air con unit. Below is the unit we can get that we have to pay extra for. as we were only getting a split, but decided to get ducted. our home is a 3 bedroom. i noticed the zones are 3 but saw it can only operate 2. What does this mean? Also should we upgrade the unit? Actron SRA 133C - 12.4kw (net) reverse cycle ducted air conditioning system to include - * 3No. zones * 1No. control panel * 3 phase meter board connection . Note - * Unit can operate any two zones at any one time but must be cut back if found not to be coping with the load . Note that external unit location restrictions include but not limited to - * min 1.3m from boundary * min 1.5 - 2.0m from gas HWS * neighbouring property location and rooms to be taken into account Re: Building with Eden Brea - Jordan Springs 2Feb 05, 2014 8:43 pm We built with eden brae and have that system, we didn't upgrade. We operate all three zones at once. But they advise if it's 40degree day, maybe start operating two zones until it gets cooler and then put on third. Having said that the insulation in the home is wonderful. During the day the temperature in the home is about 10-15 degrees lower than outside... Really don't need to out air con until evening as I feel the sarking in the roof keeps heat in. But an hour with air con cools the place right down. It is a very powerful unit. Ours has never struggled, even on the hottest and coldest of days. Hope your build is as smooth sailing as ours. Re: Building with Eden Brea - Jordan Springs 3Feb 07, 2014 9:06 am Hi thank you 1sttimebuilding2012, is your home a connect home or did you buy your home and land separate? as our home is a connect home. did you ever have any issues? Did you ever deal with Tiziana? Re: Building with Eden Brea - Jordan Springs 4Feb 08, 2014 10:43 am We bought land separate from house. I didn't have any issues at all. I do find their process a bit drawn out... And you really have to think about every aspect in detail... Eg. Make sure you have frosted windows is ensuite and bathroom. Privacy locks in bathroom and toilets... I think these should be standard. We stayed within our budget and stayed mainly with the standard options. But you have to upgrade a few things that I think should be included. Another one is flyscreens.
