Colorbond v. Tile 45Mar 31, 2016 1:07 pm Adriang Having gone through a severe hail storm, on the Central Coast (NSW), some years ago, our concrete tile roof was smashed on the side that took the worst of the storm and the subsequent water damage was very bad. Ceilings came down and nearly everything in the rooms was destroyed. Half the house had to be replastered, floorcoverings and furniture replaced, it took months. Next door neighbor had a colorbond roof. It was severely dented but remained intact and did not leak. His roof was replaced about a year after the storm, so many roofs were damaged it took that long to get to him. With the marked increase in these severe storm events (climate change) as far as I am concerned, it is a no brainer. Agree...and the more frequent storms will only get stronger.
