Similar systems are also available on ebay. http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/how-to/Featured-Products/SCA-Garage-Storage-Solutions.aspx?id=196 I have bought this system to setup in my garage (house is not finished yet). The load capacity of each shelf is usually given as 50 Kg but this must be evenly spread. A concentrated load over about 15-20 Kg will buckle the shelf. I found a very efficient way of reinforcing the shelves is to secure a length of aluminium angle behind the front edge fold with about 4 good sized screws. I reckon they could be stacked too, with lighter loads up top. Cheers Re: Garage shelving/storage ideas 4Jan 27, 2014 8:54 pm We've started with this storage solution. Pretty reasonably priced for what you get. http://www.handy-storage.com.au/product ... ck-it.html Got what we needed at Bunnings, took my husband about 20 minutes tops, by himself to assemble. We'll add more as we need it. Re: Garage shelving/storage ideas 8Jul 18, 2014 2:34 pm For our storage shed, we use mainly shelves and racks fixed sturdily onto the walls because we have to maximise all the space we can find and it seems that the walls provide an abundance of space. On the racks itself, we put storage boxes so that the items we put in them will be concealed and not look as messy as compared to simply dumping them out on the open shelves. After which, we clearly label them individually for future retrieval later on. A good storage system doesn’t necessarily need to be expensive, but just practical. Strong enough for what? For linen, absolutely. To climb on, no. I've got similar shelving in my garage and it holds a decent amount of weight. 900 wide shelves will carry… 1 2970 I would say both styles you have pictured are steel.
