In our rental we have never been able to receive digital TV through our set top box/PVR. It's a decent brand - Topfield - and receives all other channels. However there isn't enough signal strength for SBS.
The antenna guy was here this morning - they tried a new antenna, checking the plugs at the wall, repositioning the antenna - nothing has got us SBS.
The repair guy said that it was our TV - that it's tuner (or the tuner of the PVR) was not able to receive SBS anymore We were always able to get crystal clear SBS from our previous apartment.
For some reason the digital tv forum (http://www.dtvforum.info) is no longer up and running - which is where I'd usually post a Q like this but I thought someone on here might be able to help.
Anyone have any ideas? It's not so bad missing SBS now - but when the Tour de France comes we will be fairly annoyed.
Would getting something like SelectTV/Foxtel increase our likelihood of receiving SBS?
