(Right now they total about 35kg but they are barely 1 and 3 so this will go on to a good 50kg by the time they grow out of it if not more!) Any ideas on installation indoors? How to go about it? What suggestions to make it safe? I was thinking I'd install the hooks into a roof truss possibly cutting a hole through the ceiling if I had to (prefer not to). In a similar vein - hanging beds - any ideas on how? Re: How much weight could you hang from the ceiling/studs? 2Jan 23, 2014 2:25 pm I'd be creating my own little "panel" in the roofspace, where it will be supported across a few other beams to distribute the load. I would screw into the panel at least 2-3 different spots. One beam can definitely hold the weight, as when people stand on them it holds them fine. But i'd be more concerned about the single contact into the beam. If the screw pulls through, could cause some pain to the person sitting on it. A swing is a given in our new home. Re: How much weight could you hang from the ceiling/studs? 7Jan 27, 2014 8:34 pm Intriguing. How do they sit on it?! Wouldn't they keep sliding off or their head get tangled in the straps? My boys would love it I'm sure!
