Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 08, 2014 3:42 pm Hi all,we are having our final walk through next week. Today I had a quick look through the house and noticed a few things I would like fixed but not sure if I'm being to picky. Things like - a couple of chips on top of the door frame and have been painted over ( thought they would have filled them in with wood filler? - paint has gotten on some of the tiles where they have painted the bottom of the wall and their line isn't straight -the plaster in the laundry where the washing machine taps are isn't smooth and the painters have painted over the top - the feature wall in the theatre room paint line isn't straight so some of the dark color is on the light color These are just a few things I noticed when I was having a real close look, should I be expecting almost perfection or should I let these minor things go. I have painted houses before myself and had I done it this time I feel I would have been a lot neater than what's been done. This is our first time building. Thanks Re: Final walkthrough/what to expect? 3Jan 08, 2014 3:57 pm How much have you paid for your house? Shouldn't you expect a top job given you've handed over hundreds of thousands. Let them get away with poor quality and they'll just keep on doing it. It doesn't take much to keep paint off tiles or paint a straight line. Make sure you take an independent inspector with you.
