We bought a block of land 10 years ago (in an area without reticulated sewage removal) prior to the new onsite waste management laws in victoria. Our block of land is small 574m2 and therefore is not big enough to manage its own waste which now renders it uninhabitable. Now we have a block of land that we can't build on and we can't sell. Do we have any rights at all - there are houses next to us that if they hadn't built years ago would be in the same situation. Not sure if this is the right forum for this - had no idea where to start.
