Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Shower screen - custom made Vs standard purchase 3Dec 24, 2013 8:22 am Thanks Lourance - I appreciate you taking the time to respond. Stegbar was/is the company that we have been advised would be over $2000. I called them yesterday for a rough quote. Frameless they were unable to give a rough price because they said too many factors come into play but said they start at $1500 and go up to $4000. Semi frameless they said could be around $800 (maybe your quoted poster was referring to semiframeless?? Or maybe she only had one screen - we need two - including a door. Anyway, so this goes back to my question - do I want to spend over $2000 on a custom measured/made/fitted screen - or can I get almost just as good (ie, no real problems otherwise) to go with an 'off the shelf' cheaper import. Only difference being not measured to the exact measurement?????? Anyone else have any thoughts on this? HHCIB Your shower screen has failed in the way it is designed to fail with tempered glass. You could replace it with laminated safety glass but make sure it has AS standards logo on it 1 11161 i imagine you also have another contract with an architect? and yeah, whatever other's said about special conditions and appendices 16 15980 Brass or 2) Stainless steel made - which Kitchen tap is good for drinking.Brass kitchen taps in Australia contain lead… 0 6714 |
