Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 17, 2013 1:11 pm Hi All, Just wondering if rendering over render would create damage to my wall? To cut a long story short....my busy body neighbour rendered over out zero lotted garage wall....he did a very bad job without asking our permission first! and now it looks worse than before (without the render - natural brick). He had offered to get a professional rendered to fix it up and pay for it himself, but I'm really wondering if it would be best to actually leave it as it is as I'm worried that the professional rendered will most likely need to sand over the old very thinly applied rendering - would this cause damage to my garage wall? Thanks. Re: Rendering over cowboy render job? 2Dec 17, 2013 5:16 pm I know they won't render over painted bricks as it won't adhere properly. I'd get the professional to have a look. If it's stuck well it may be alright to render over. If it's loose they'll have to get it off first. yep you need a joint, foam is easiest, will look fine once rendered with a joint. 2 4350 Regardless of wall hung toilet or floor pan toilet your feet will be right on drain, seems to me the waste should not be in that location given the design.
