If you really can't live without hosing down your bathroom, like I've said before, you really need to make sure that the whole bathroom is completely water proofed, tile and grout are NOT water proof, you also need to find a way to stop water from running out of the bathroom. Just remember unlike your house in Asia which is most likely of concrete/masonry construction, majority of houses in Australia except WA are constructed in timber and plasterboard lined, these stuff don't mix well with water.

I know WA has some different ways of construction and I don't know that much about it, but I think what the advice is (which sounds completely sensible to me) is that if you want to hose the bathroom you need to have the whole bathroom built in the same way a shower is built. I don't know what is the typical way of waterproofing a shower over there but you need the whole bathroom done like that. Believe me, you don't want to find out your builder didn't do enough later.
