Hi donuts, We got it from Clive Peters, floor stock, perfect condition. All the same warranties and when you save over $350 for a Miele thats fantastic as they dont discount their stock. Anyway, I'm happy, one more thing I dont have to worry about. mrs B Thanks Mrs B, I didn't know that about Miele. Will keep an eye out for floor stock sales. Penjay, yep cloth nappies is a good one. Can you tell I am a disposable user! Good on you. Re: Front Loading Washing Machines 66Jul 06, 2008 9:30 pm Mrs B donuts Mrs B that sounds like a good price for Miele? Can I ask where you got it? We had a really helpful sales guy, and we got the wash/mach, dryer, oven, combi oven, built in coffee machine, rangehood, hot plates , integrated dishwasher and plate warmer (and a Jenn-Air fridge!!!!!)...phew!!! - all discounted by at least 20%, which was the first time they'd been allowed to do that, as , like you said, Miele don't allow their stuff to be discounted.Bargain!!! Can't wait to have it all in and actually USE it, instead of admiring it!!! Mine's only about 14mths old (not BRAND new) but it's the 'honeycomb drum' one, so maybe they've cut the cycle times on newer models????[/i] Okay I need to know the model of these Miele washers please. Not an issue IMO - Get up, put the washing on, have a shower, cook breakfast, enjoy breakfast - and then hang out the washing. and most front loaders are quiet that they can run at night as well. Re: Front Loading Washing Machines 71Sep 14, 2008 8:33 pm I like the option of a short wash, delicate items and my black work clothes only get a quicky wash. I often forget to put the washing on as soon as I get up, make that usually. so a 30 min wash would be an ideal feature. Re: Front Loading Washing Machines 72Sep 15, 2008 3:11 pm Hi,
We have had our 7kg front loading Ariston washing machine for 12 years and its still going strong. I've never had a problem with it and washes really well. They're made in Italy and I dont think they're very expensive .. about $1400 for a new one. When this one dies I'll definitely be purchasing another one. Spoilt princess Front Loader Washing Machine 74Sep 19, 2008 9:41 pm Got a Bosch front loader when we moved in to our house about 2 years ago and have been very happy with it (7kg). Considering the many, many loads of washing I do it does a great job. Took a while to get used to the cycle times (over an hour and a half for the hot/long cycle) as I had a F&P top loader previously (which I wasn't happy with). Does a better job of getting the dirt out IMO. Believe you can get Bosch machines under $1000 depending on the size and rpm you need.
Good luck! Re: Front Loading Washing Machines 75Sep 21, 2008 4:53 pm Have to vote for the Asko, lowest water consumption we could find and built very well. About as automatic as you can get, for example it uses more or less water depending on how dirty your cloths are. Mounted on internal suspension so the outside case does not vibrate at all. Allows us to have a laundry bench like this display example.
