I have a query, is it standard practice to gyprock between the window and the frame as seen in the pic? No issues with it in fact I am quite impressed

Are you able to explain it any differently? We have gyprock reveals on the inside (no architrave) is that why? Re: Gyprock question 4Nov 15, 2013 8:22 pm So you specifically asked for no architraves. If that's the case then I already think u know the answer. Most people have architraves as it's more durable. There are also a few different ways to do this. You can use a type of channel that goes around the window. However it looks like your builder is going to finish it like a regular corner. Re: Gyprock question 5Nov 15, 2013 8:27 pm Ah. thank you for clarifying as I wasn't sure. We asked for no architrave as I wasn't keen on having timber windows and an architrave as thought it might be too 'busy'. Hoping I won't regret that decision if as you say they are less durable. So they will join the gyprock on the wall to the gyprock around the window frame? This is an ok way of doing it? 6 11133 thank you! do we need to get this or our builder before we commence new build on the block? 2 10404 |
